Hourglass–April 6, 8pm

Hourglass, a work for solo, unaccompanied flute, draws on many musical influences to reflect on the passage of time and the temporal nature of music as an artform. The cycle will have a 1-hour duration, featuring 12 short movements and a 10 minute intermission. The performance will feature flutist Adeline DeBella, who will be performing the work in its entirety. This recital will serve as my Masters recital. The recital will be recorded and livestreamed.

The NYU Contemporary Music Ensemble will premiere works by composers in the NYU Music Theory and Concert Composition program. My piece Wave will be one of the new works on this concert. This concert will be recorded.

Nevermind the Noise, the graduate student composers’ collective at NYU will be presenting their spring concert, premiering the works of members of the collective. The concert will feature members of the Contemporaneous Ensemble, conducted by David Bloom. One of my pieces will be included on this concert. The concert will be recorded and livestreamed.
